Platypus Gallery

To see a platypus in the wild is very special!  To be lucky enough to photograph this guy in the Brook at Wombolly was incredible.  2017 - I was walking along the bank of the Brook below the house late in the afternoon with my camera, when a circle of big bubbles attracted my attention.  Suddenly, I was face to face with this wonderful creature and managed to get two shots away before it plunged quickly under the water.  2021 - Further upstream, bubbles again attracted attention and patience paid off - although they surface and dive very quickly making good photographs lucky.  Experiences never to be forgotten!  So pleased they survived the drought and the floods.
