Gallinula tenebrosa
A comon water bird around Wombolly, usually seen near or in the Brook, flicking its white tail in a jerky fashion as it walks or swims. Usually runs for cover when discovered or approached, hiding in the graases and reeds along the banks of the waterways. Very protective of their little chicks which are always a joy to discover.
