White-winged Chough Gallery

Corcorax melanorhamphos
Regular companions at Wombolly.  Always wandering around as a family group of six to eight, scatching and digging with their curved beaks, calling to each other with a raspy cries.  One Spring they built a huge mud nest in one of the eucalypts by the house and successfully raised three chicks. The whole family took turns on the nest and pitched in to bring food to the hungry chicks.
