Eastern Whipbird Gallery

Psophodes olivaceus
A few families of these birds are always around Wombolly, flitting through the undergrowth, the male and female making their quite unique team call - the male making the "whip" call with the female attaching the "chee chee" at the end.  Click on images to enlarge.

Listen to the calls of the Eastern Whipbirds recorded at Wombolly and note that in the 2nd and 3rd calls, the male gets no responses from the female.
