Brown Cuckoo-Dove Gallery

Macropygia amboinensis
The Brown Cuckoo Doves are always not far away often chasing each other through the trees.  If there's any seed to be had these birds will be amongst the first to come and last to go.  When it's hot they have an unusual habit of spreading their wing in formation - maybe to cool off or perhaps it's part of their courting ritual.  Click on images to enlarge.
