Common Bronzewing Gallery

Phaps chalcoptera
This shy bird is often seen alone pecking its way along the road leading to Wombolly.  It flies off as you approach only to quickly return when you've passed by.  A well-named bird - its wings certainly contain a beautiful shade of bronze!  Click on images to enlarge.
